New USAKilts Casual on the way...

Well, after enduring a 90-degree day outside at a local festival last weekend in a full-on acrylic kilt (SWK Thrifty) I decided to start looking into more appropriate options for a warm weather kilt. Taking advantage of Rocky's trade-in program, I sent an older eBay kilt (not the Thrifty... I love it, but just not for hot weather) that I wasn't satisfied with his way and placed an order for a USA Kilts Casual model in the American Heritage tartan. I'd have loved a Lamont (family tartan) option in the casual model, but it's not an available tartan in the PV material. It was a bit of a spur-of-the-moment purchase, but I am super excited. I'll have a kilt that I am much more satisfied with than the eBay one, and will have a proper PV option for warm weather. Can't wait!

I have two of Rocky's kilts in PV material. They are great for summer. Picture of one of them is posted in the today's "Houston Sci-Fi' thread. I am finding I am wearing them in casual situations where I first thought I would only wear contemporary cotton/poly kilts. I guess I need to look into his trade in program to get another PV kilt if I am going to continue to wear them so much. Trade in one of my heavy duck cloth kilts I don't wear anymore.

I have a quick question for fellow USAK casual owners... how much adjustment room is there either way with the fit system on these kilts? I measured at a 31.5 waist but obviously (as we all do) sometimes trend bigger or smaller at times. I don't have any worries with my regular kilts, given the belt adjustments, but was wondering if there is some wiggle room with the USAK casuals. Cheers!

Plenty of wiggle room. I've lost about an inch since I ordered mine a month ago, and it tightens up nicely enough. I wouldn't suggest losing more than about an inch off your adjustments, though, otherwise the overlap might get unwieldy.

As for gaining wait, there's definitely room to wiggle. Probably still wouldn't want to gain an extra three or four inches, but one or two would be just fine.
