Please do, just credit me where you can.
Also;

I'm surprised how many people ask me if my two year old son has a diaper on under his kilt.

I had a similar experience the other day at the grocery store, albeit sans actual verbal contact. I would say I was fairly sharply dressed in my Ancient Ferguson kilt. This woman walked out, talking on her mobile, smiling. When she saw me, her step faultered, her smile grimmaced, and she stammered for a second. I can only imagine what she told her conversation partner as soon as I was out of earshot. I guess she didn't approve of my matching tartan flat cap
But to be fair, I had almost the same reaction to seeing her. She was wearing pyjama bottoms, an oversized t-shirt, thong sandals, no make-up, and her hair was in an "I just got out of bed and couldn't be bothered" pony-tail. This was about 6 pm, btw. But at least I had the decency not to gawk at what I would consider distasteful.

I never have been bothered by the questions. BUT have to agree that the the "Do you play the bagpipes" question tends to wear on a person.
I always tell people - "When I was growing up, my folks gave me a choice of either learning the bagpipes or drinking Scotch - I picked the scotch"

Of course I also always thought that:
"KILT! What the heck happened to my trousers?"
would knock 'em off their pins.
BTW -- what exactly do trousers trous?
or if asked if I'm Scottish:
המצחיק הוא שאני לא חושבת שאני נראית כמו שאני באה מסקוטלנד!
You may need to toss that into Google translate to get the joke

I was at an event today and wearing my Gordon. I had at least 3 people come up to me and thank me for wearing a kilt. Ok when I am in uniform I am use to people coming up and thanking me for my service but I'm not sure how to take it when I'm thanked for wearing a kilt.
