Serious loss in the Colorado living history scene

    From the Denver Vikings:

"This afternoon, a friend of ours, a member of Fjellborg Vikings and Vikings Vinland/The Vikings, Richard Rombough passed away due to a massive heart attack.

Rick (or by his Viking persona, Farman) was perhaps known only to those of our readership living in Denver, or those who met him at my house, but we will remember him as a kind and generous person, quick to lend a hand and helpful to anyone who asked. His crafting and warm hearted friendship will be missed.

Cremation and services are being planned as a sister is flying to Denver now. I will post contact information for those who wish to pass on condolences, as soon as I have it.

Rick was a dear friend of mine, and the man who was teaching me about the wonderful art of leather work. Please join me in wishing him peace in the next world- or lots of violence and drink in Valhalla, which I suspect he would prefer.

    Sorry to hear that, Hawk.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

    Cattle die
    kinsmen die
    all men are mortal.

    Words of praise
    will never perish
    nor a noble name.

May your friend journey well into the Otherworld, and take his place among the Ancestors.
