Update on Ann
As many of you know my wife Ann had a serious of strokes since 1999 and her stroke last year had left her paralysed from the waist down and mentally confused, such that she needed full-time nursing care and went to live in a care home about a mile from our house a year ago. Last weekend she had a chest infection which caused a lot of coughing and vomiting which led to her taking another stroke and being rushed from the care home into hospital. It was thought the chest infection may also have gone into her lungs and she may possibly have pneumonia. The doctors have made it clear that her condition is life threatening so I have had too much on my mind to post anything until now. First signs of cause for possible optimism this evening, when I visited hospital she was sitting up in the bed, and had been able to eat a soft meal at teatime. She recognised me this evening and was able to make limited conversation. She is still in a high dependency unit and connected to all sorts of tubes but at least she no longer needs the oxygen mask. Your prayers for her continued recovery will be appreciated.

Absolutely, Alex.
If getting to Paisley will be a problem, don't worry about meeting us. Otherwise, we are looking forward to the visit.

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
