nope
I agree with all above. I have family in Scotland and have been to weddings there. And while most Scots have a sense of humor the joke is too risky. Wearing the kilt is a prideful thing and at a formal event shouldn't be made fun of.
Make fun of the dinner and a haggis or something. You'll be on safer ground.

I wouldn't go there...
Remember the immortal words of Craig Ferguson:
"A hundred Scotsmen with daggers at a wedding with an open bar...what could go wrong?"

Joke
Go for it, just wait till their mostly drunk, besides, if they can't laugh at themselves, you need to find another wedding.

Just an observation gathered over the last six decades------Scots are not good at laughing at themselves at the best of times, but particularly, not when drunk.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
maybe NOT.
Now, whisky...you could make a whisky joke. Or maybe a joke about Scotlands rather mediocre performance at World Cup Soccer. Or a caber joke. Cabers are always good for jokes..."wood" you know, and all that.
But not kilts.

There are plenty of Scots families who have fallen out, permanently, for less! Again, I kid you not.

As a Glaswegian and a kilt wearer I agree with Jock, Don't do it!!!!. Believe me at a Glasgow wedding some-one will take the whole matter out of context, be offended and you'll end up with a disaster and maybe a real scary situation!! If I was a guest at the wedding wearing my clan/family tartan, I'd feel insulted and would'nt be a happy bunny!!
