    I heart the toque.
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.

    Derek,

I loved your 'old' kitchen (c/w muckle clock) - such a warm, friendly and cosy room - but the 'new' one looks very nice indeed, although I was a little puzzled by the vending machine ........... then I realised that it is your fridge/freezer adorned by magnets and a year planner!

After several visits I can, alas, find no photos to contribute which include both the clock and me!

    Take care,
    Ham.

This strikes me somehow as an ingenious solution for the single guy who doesn't like to cook for one...

But anyway, awesome new kitchen you've got there.

    Regards,
    Rex.

You are so correct there, Rex - I DO dislike cooking. For me it is a necessary evil, but I can manage to produce a mean salad!

    Take care,
    Ham.
