I don't want to write any kiltmaker off without some first person reviews...you never know, they may make a decent product that fills a niche in the market...don't know until we see one.

Thanks AA, yes I have seen them many many times, and I know of a few members who have bought from them. They really arn't bad for the "trad" ones,(sometimes they pleat to a random element- very tradtional or do I mean historic!) but the more avant guarde ones are the fashion ones or for the clubs scene.I will look for them on Saturday in Brighton.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your input.
However as I need a kilt for a party in Berlin in 4 weeks time, I have no time to wait for them to come back and I have listened to your advice too
I have purchase with Scotsweb a black wool casual 7 yard kilt (13oz). This looks like a good quality product to me also long term. And you can accessories it to give it a more contemporary look. And if I was ever want to I can buy a matching black Argyll coat and waistcoat with it. (I think that looks really good). Somehow Scotsweb comes across as a reliable companyG
But I am still interested in a Guiltykilt but just wait and see. (Paul Henry please let them know in case you see them in Brighton :-)) At first I thought it was only for clubbing 20 year olds but after having seen some movies on you tube I am still interested. (They are also going after the gay "bear" market)

Being gay myself in my mid forties with jeans size 29 I think I still can give it go :-)
