New Hampshire Highland Games Sept. 17-19, 2010
The New Hampshire Highland Games at Loon Mountain in Lincoln, New Hampshire. Friday Sept. 17 thru Sunday Sept. 19. My favorite every year and one of the largest in the Northeast. Our Clan Buchanan is Honored Clan this year, very proud and grateful for the honor. If you are there stop by and say hello.

I've long wanted to make the drive down from Eastern Ontario. I do have a 'staging area' at about the halfway mark so really there's no excuse not to, except that it will burn up one or a few vacation days. Maybe this year!

Many Canadians come down - especially from the Maritimes and dancers from all over.
It's a good time and well worth the drive.
Featured guest band this year is the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Pipes and Drums so you'll feel right ta hame!

I am planning on being at Loon Mountain this year as my clan (Cunningham) will be holding their gathering there. It will be a first visit to these games for me.
If all goes to plan I should arrive in Boston on Friday 10th September, where there might be a kilt night. On Saturday 11th SteveB will drive me to Loon Mountain Resort where I will be based until the close of the games on Sunday 19th. Overnight at an airport hotel at Boston Logan International then fly home to Scotland early morning Monday 20th. Hope to meet you and a few other xmarkers there.

Hotel reservations are made, tickets are on the way. REALLY looking forward to it this year, both my wife and I. Hoping that it isn't as cold/windy as last year but I guess that is what all the wool is for!!

My husband and I along with his brother & wife and father will be there! We've gone for many years. This time we booked a condo instead of driving from southern NH every day or camping (we had a bad incident of nearly freezing 2 years ago!) A little bit more costly but gives us more time to relax and enjoy the day more.

Cessna.. Steve C. is a friend and we see each other all summer long at the games throughout New England. Have heard about your gathering, it should be a great time. It will be a reunion of Loch Lomond clans... between the Cunninghams and the Buchanans I'm not sure there will be room for anyone else. Hope to have the pleasure of meeting you there.

Did you stick a pin in our map for this event?

Steve: I believe there is already a pin stuck in Lincoln. At least there was when I looked about a month ago....
