Ever been told you don't sound Scottish? I get that here in the States a great deal. In fairness, I've been away from home a long time. And, I have to admit that I do get a bit impatient sometimes with the "expertise" of total strangers who are "more Scottish than thou." I oft have to restrain myself from reviving that auld tradition of the Glesga kiss.
Ive been told I dont sound like an Aberdonian, which to be honest doesnt bother me that much 
I dont think it would be apreciated if I tried to go shopping with a blue face and whacking great big sword for some reason I cant think why though.
