Some great pictures there, CaptMac and VMac!
I especially liked the Hielan’ coo. Oh, yes, and the stag with the weeds hanging from his antlers.
But the kilt pictures were great, too, as well as the view of that rock in Edinburgh ;-)

That "weed" is the velvet(skin) falling off the stag's new antlers. Red stags grow new antlers every year and at this time of year the antlers stop growing and harden so the protective velvet(skin) dries and falls off. Then you get the classic "Monarch of the Glen" stag.

The buck (antelope) in this part of the world have their horns permanently, without any velvet covering.

oKay, I admit that we took the gondola to the top of the hill, BUT we walked to the top of the second hill. It was a fairly good hike. Jock, quit smirking!
