The rock was on Ben Nevis. We didn't get near Edinburgh this trip.

Here is a not very good picture of a red stag "in velvet", you will see that the antlers look thicker and the tines look blunt. In other words the antlers are soft and still growing(early/mid June) and covered in skin(velvet).

My apologies, Victoria. I was confusing your pictures with another album that showed the castle. Ben Nevis is a bare mountain, is it not?
