I mark the calender when I make the order, then count out the weeks till the kilt is due and mark it again. Then I kind of forget about it! So then it's a pleasant surprise when the package shows up! (usually before it's due)

Ohhh...
I was hoping the next line was "With a drunken sailor"
Seriously though, the wait is always the worst part. If you do consider taking up knitting you would be killing two birds with one stone.
1) eating up your free time learning a new skill
2) now you can knit your own kilt hose- AND save all that $$ spent buying them for more kilts to start waiting for again

I would be tempted to, but I already have a loose grip on reality.
I started working on a new sporran--one of my "Tactical/Practical" ones, but it just gets me thinking and anticipating their arrival, especially since this one should look really nice on the Oakliegh tartan.
My wife is working on a beaded pin and sporran, Lakota style, to go with the American Heritage tartan. It's just one of the perks of being married to an art teacher who teaches on the Rez. The other is getting a bus for practically nothing(a little work for one weekend on my part) that will be converted to an RV. That's for another forum though.
I have a few extra bucks...maybe I'll get that new tartan I saw at Stillwater's website.
On the other hand, I might order up some camo material and start making yet another kilt. That will get me through the next week if I survive the anticipation of waiting for that package.
Of course, a six pack of Guiness will get me through for a night.
I'd be fine if I had not been born without the patience gene.

I completely understand the jones. I ordered a kilt from Rocky around the same time you did. I wanted the "rush" option, but alas, it is not available on the premier kilt. I have to wait. Abt. four more weeks. UGH!

I love that rush option. I ordered my first kilt from USAKilts, last month. 11 days after hitting the submit order button it was on it's way. Tomarrow it should be on my doorstep exactly 14 days after placing the order.
It's been hard to wait 2 weeks I'm not shure what I would do having to wait 2months. It's been bad enough sneaking off to check the USPS tracking every 3 hours for updates.

Congrats on that.
I never noticed that there is no rush option on the premium. I will have to remember that if and when I order one. I seldom wear anything that fancy but someday I'll have to get something rare not available in PV. After getting a swatch to see how I react to it that is.
Normally I would have paid for rush delivery but I figured that, A-That's fifty bucks on this order instead of 25 ,which I could use for other stuff, and B-I was in Fort Sill when I ordered them and wasn't sure if I would be home in 2 weeks, 4, 6, 8 weeks. Turned out I got home 12 days later. Oh well. That's life. I'm going to the Willow Tree Festival this weekend and guess I'll just have to wear one of my "old" kilts. Sniff sniff.
