    For What It's Worth

I know not any of the specifics of your individual issues, I am not condoning poor service....however at the risk of being flamed I just want to throw in an opposite experience.

I have 2, 8 yard PV kilts that I have ordered from Josh and I like them very much. I believe they are really good quality and they were tailored exactly as ordered and with the pleating done in the style requested. My kingusssie looks fantastic. I have also had the opportunity to converse with Josh several times and we have exchanged emails. I think it is fair to say that business really took off for Josh and it has presented him with a lot of challenges. I know, too, in trying to check on the status of a new order that the move threw him a few curves as well. His internet provider did not get the internet connection at his new location for over a week, and he was fighting with his phone provider, still, the other day over getting his phone connected.

So having shared your experiences at various times, in various situations with various vendors I can honestly say I appreciate the frustration and understand how upset you would be. I just wanted to share that not all experiences with SHO are negative. On a personal level having spoken to Josh several times, I would be loathe to attach negative comments to his character.

Again.....I am not trying to start a flame war nor am I speaking to your experiences or commenting on them....I am just sharing my own.

Seanachie, I understand your comments and please let me assure you that I did not post my frustrations lightly. In my last communique with Josh he thanked me for my patience and said that if he had to wait as long as I had, he would have had a cow. I am now in labour with that cow.

I know he has trouble with his communication providers, but he has posted on this board this morning (my time) so he must have some comms up. Pity he could not have sent me a PM or email at that time.

It is not that I have had to wait for the product I ordered, it is that I have had to chase him for info after his self set timeframes have gone by.

It's amazing the affect that occurs, when a vendor contacts you to let you know the progress of your order, even if it it's bad news. All I ask is that I be kept in the loop and if assurances are given, they are either kept or you are advised as to whats going on.

Apparently, Mike, you had access to my brain in these past months. I could not have expressed my own feelings better than you did. Only one thing I would like to explain for Seanachie and others reading this thread. I purchased two pair of hose from Josh to match two particular kilts. I sent him swatches and the hose not only match perfectly, but are superbly comfortable, as well. The problem I have is not with his product, it's with the stories he tells and the promises he makes.
