While I agree with the comments from others about kilts being made to measure, I'll give you an "overly simple" answer and just compare the WAIST measurements as the waist / hips / length vary on almost every kilt...
For us (USA Kilts), the average customer is probably a 42" waist or so. Sure, we have our share of lower 30's, but we also have more than our share of BIG customers... our largest on record being a 72" waist with 78" hips. While that one is our record, I will say that we regularly get customers in the 50's and sometimes 60's for their waist.
