If I may throw my hat into the ring here.

While the colours don't translate well when converted from CMYK to RGB/gif,
you get the general idea. I personally like the one on the far right the best.
Blue is a royal blue, similar in tone to, but lighter than the X-Marks tartan blue. The greenish colour drops squarely between an American OD green and a British Khaki. Gold was pretty much untouched by the file conversion. Red is a nice deep red, not quite a claret, but also neither too cool (blue/purple) or warm (orangy).
If anyone likes the general idea, I'll see if I can tweak the colours in photoshop.
I do like a stripe pattern where there is a small break-stripe in between all the big block stripes.
