    How to make a PIPER'S PLAID

    Dia dhuit!
    I just realized that I had Turpin's copy (which I will return ) of 'So You're Going To Wear The Kilt'...needless to say, it has the description on how to make a piper's plaid:

    "The first is the piper's plaid, though its use, as we shall see, is not confined to bandsmen. This is simply a piece of tartan, double width (52 to 56 inches) and 3 1/2 yards long. It is fringed at both ends."
