Looking for a kilt maker
Posted in the "About Kilts" forum but didn't get any responses so I'm hoping moving over here might help.
Just got in 3-4 yards of double wide Lamont Ancient cotton. Since Texas is just a little warm during the summer (about 11 months of the year it seems) I was thinking it would make a good casual summer piece.
So what I'm looking for is a maker who has time to make a quality kilt (buckles and all), box pleats, and another maker for the ones I have. I'm more than happy with all of them I just want to make the rounds for a collection, maybe SWK or USAK?
Looking to spend $100-$200 range with the shipping.
Here is the full width, a close up for color and a shot to (hopefully) give an idea of the weight -

Cotton....a challenge maybe. Don't know if Jimmy Carbomb of Barley Juice is still doing kilt work. Could ask him.

kilt maker
I've had good luck with Alexis Malcolm kilts. She's made 4 kilts for me, a box pleat, an 8 yard knife pleat and 2 - 5 yard knife pleats. the box pleat is in US Merchant Marine, the 8 yard is in Polaris tartan, the 2 - 5 yarders are Irish national and County Galway.
Google Alexis Malcolm Kilts, she's located in Florida.

Gabe Everson here on the forums does a bang up job! I have two from him, and cannot complain about a single thing. Awesome guy to work with too.

Another kilt maker to consider: Wallace Catanach, Waterfall Kilts. He's located in State College, PA. Wally did a bang up job on my 8 yard, knife pleated tank! Do a Google search for Waterfall Kilts.
