Caledonian Society of Norway annual Whisky tasting

A few weeks ago the Caledonian Society of Norway aranged there annual Whisky Tasting in Oslo. It was Whisky expert and member of the Society Chris Maile who led us trough the evening. Last year we had the pleasure of tasting 5 different single malts. This year Chris suprised us with only one, Glenfiddich 12 year!!! The theme for the tasting was how different one single malt can tast. First we tasted it with a wee bit of water, then straight, so warmed up with our hands, then with ice and finaly as a toddy!!! The toddy was made up of whisky, honey, lemon, clove and hot water.

I invited two guest to the event. One you have seen pictures of from my Viking Invasion thread, Kjell. The other guest you may know from kilt forums on the net, Jakob. I think they both enjoyed the evening.

Unfortunatly I forgot my camera, but I took some pics and film with my phone. It came out very poorly but better then nothing right?

Single Malt is truely a very versital beverage. It's taste is remarkable. Straight, mixed with a few drops of water, or a lot of other blends are quite unique.
