    Viyella tartan book

A neighbor who knows I love the kilt just gave me a book of "Viyella Tartans". The book is not excessively old. I estimate around 50-70 years. There is no date on it, but since the name/brand "Viyella" was registered in the US in 1907, I'd be very surprised if it were older than that.

    A few pictures:

I know about what I have read in the Wikipedia article, but not much more. I'd like to dig up more on this book.

It looks like a salesman's sample book.

There still seem to be some Viyella tartans being woven for men's shirts http://www.dann-online.com/Viyella/shirts.htm though the fabic is now 80% cotton, 20% wool

I had a Viyella shirt back in the 1970s, and remember it being exceptionally comfortable and warm.
