My choices:
U.S. Navy (Edzell)
National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Memorial (SportKilt version)
I'm also looking at:
California
South Carolina
I've seen a few others on the Scottish Tartans Authority.
I've found that most relationships work best when no one wears pants.

When given a choice, most people will choose.

A myriad of choices, and so many really beautiful and unique ones.
With as much choice as we have here, we really are spoiled. So now, finally we get to my point.
With THIS much choice, why wear a Clan tartan that you are "not sure" you are comfortable wearing? Honestly, if someone has to ask "Is it OK to wear this Clan tartan?", then maybe that well-intentioned gentleman should find something else to wear, because there are many, many gorgeous choices from which to pick.
If that fellow boldly cares not about any such thing, and will wear what they want irregardless, then fine. But for the lad who is "not sure"....why not find another beautiful tartan and wear that, instead?
.....this written by the guy, who as he writes this, is sitting on the pleats of a MacNicol, Modern kilt, when he has NO connection with the MacNicol, or Nicholson family whatsoever. My excuse? It was the first traditional kilt I ever made, and I'm "attached" to it.
