Movember :{
Hello everyone, just wondering is anyone else considering or currently growing a Mustache for Movember. Movember is a worldwide movement that annually raises money and awareness for male charities and male illness such as prostate cancer and depression. At the end of the month it all comes off again, much to the relief of partners, wives and girlfriends the world over.
This is my first year and first time growing a Moey...whoo hoo. I will try and post pics from day 1-day 30. I may even pose in a kilt for the last day ;{

I've had mine growing for about five or six weeks now. I'd planned to start this week, but got started early this year. I'm using Hndlbars Wax.

I won't be playing along (the 'stache is something my better half can't abide and if it means i can keep the goat' i play along), but quite a few gents at the school where I teach are participating.
Best of luck to you and good on ya for supporting a great cause!

A number of friends are doing it...I just shaved my Van Dike a little over a week ago...not sure if I want to go back just yet. I've already pledged some $$$ to the charities my friends are doing it for, so I hope that excuses me from this one.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

I've had a 'stache for 23 years now (all of my adult life). Not shaving it off just to grow it back. (There are very few reasons I would consider shaving it off, anyway. It's something of a family tradition - one of those unspoken things.)

I decided yesterday morning to join a "Movember" group. There was a time when I changed facial hair often, just to keep from being stale. However, it's been a while since I had a beard or moustache, and...whoah, it's going to be gray/white! I'm going to look like someone's old math teacher, I think! Still, it's for a good cause. I'm reminded of someone answering the question, "How do you see yourself 50 years from now?", by saying, "Preferably in a mirror".
Cheers,
John

I can't shave mine. Last time I did, my wife ran, the kids cried and the dog bit me.
I've had either a beard or goatee for over a decade now, and I did shave it off once. I was warned to never do it again if I enjoyed being married. I got one ugly chin. Or maybe it's just my face in general. Hmm. Maybe my wife doesn't close her eyes to kiss me because it's romantic?
I wish I believed in reincarnation. Where's Charles Martel when you need him?
