I can't shave mine. Last time I did, my wife ran, the kids cried and the dog bit me.
I've had either a beard or goatee for over a decade now, and I did shave it off once. I was warned to never do it again if I enjoyed being married. I got one ugly chin. Or maybe it's just my face in general. Hmm. Maybe my wife doesn't close her eyes to kiss me because it's romantic?
I wish I believed in reincarnation. Where's Charles Martel when you need him?

My children (now 22 and 19) have never seen me without at least a mustache, and for most of their lives a beard. I used to grow a beard about every winter and then shave it off in the summer keeping the 'stache. However this beard I've had in continual service since the summer of '03. My daughter would be heartbroken if I shaved now.

I grew it out for Novemebr, but shaved it yesterday since neither I nor the Mrs. liked it. No pictures. Sorry.

It’s been quite amusing hearing comments on Movember growths on the radio, especially from the guys who refer to it as being prickly.
Beard growth is only prickly when it is short.
Anyone who has not discovered that doesn’t know the pleasure of having a permanently hairy face.
My top lip has not been shaved since 1970, when I turned 21.
I first grew a beard the following year. Military obligations saw me shave it off in ’71, ’73 and ’77, but I was bearded and in uniform in ’75 and ’76.
No razor has touched my face since then.
In fact, when I took my beard off in ’77 I kept the tuft on my lower lip, and nobody noticed.
Eric, you have a fine moustache there (or should I say had?). It’s a pity you chose to curtail its existence.
My dad, who was also an Eric, grew a magnificent handlebar moustache in 1970, but did it solely as a stunt (he thought it would persuade my kid brother to have a haircut) and he disappointed me when he took it off again.
In the old days the ladies used to say that a kiss without a moustache was like soup without salt.
I feel sorry for those men whose wives won’t let them sport facial growth.
Mind you, I also find it most unattractive in women that they shave their legs. The resulting stubble is ugly, while the hair on the shins is not of itself unsightly. It certainly is better to the touch when it is left to its own devices.
Regards,
Mike

It's still there, I haven't had time to shave yet. My facial hair is pretty active. I can go for a few months without shaving or a just a week. I alternate whatever look I want. But I usually shave everything off weekly. (the whole head...)
I once had the billygoat pinch long enough to tickle my belly button with. It took about a year to grow it. And yes, it was quite a pain in the butt to handle. Getting dressed, food, wind, winter, rain, encounters with idiots...
