Chuck Shaw, the SAMS Mid-East commander, is trying hard to get Post 2 up and running again and would welcome some new members. Check out his website:

I talked to him late afternoon at the Williamsburg Festival and again at the Meadows (former Richmond) Games about this. He is trying to establish a MD and VA camps within the Post since he has been unable to get members from both MD and VA together at any meeting he has scheduled. DC members may be able to form their own camp, if there are enough of them, or join with one of the other two camps.

I'm also interested as I'm currently a member of Post 76 located in the Hampton Roads area, a bit of a drive from the Northern Virginia where I live, because Post 2 went inactive. Post 76 has some great guys but I'm just too far away to do much with them.
