The bold is mine; and just so we're clear... an 's' generally means more than one, and an unspecified number...

I'm certain that unless your passport has a crown on it and says somewhere 'UK', your HO is misguided to say the least...

The article said the ban was based on ONE complaint BY ONE person. That's not how any of our countries are run today.
And I might remind one that without government by one or a very small minority, I most probably would still BE a citizen of the UK. My family fought the Romans, fought the Saxons, fought the Angles, fought the Vikings, fought all comers in the attempt to create a system that would provide peace and abundance for all. That we haven't yet succeeded is not their fault. I WILL HONOR THEM ALL. And their blood, shed in Essex, Wessex, Wales, the Borders, the Highlands, and most of Ireland, IMHO,has bought me the right to express that opinion. You're welcome to any opinion you care to wave about, only as long as others can do the same. It may seem ironic to some that one would come on a public forum to tell people to shut up.
Apologies to any offended, as no offense is offered, only hopefully civil
discussion.
Good Gawd, this is a KILT forum...NOT one to discuss anything else.....see "The Rules".....

M y most humble apologies. I have clicked on the link to the article 9 times, and every time it says "because some member (SINGULAR) of the public..."
I even had a friend check it for me. In their opinion, the article as linked on page 2 of this discussion does not have an s on the end, no amount of anyone's
wishing can put one one there. If that is not how the article appeared, then we're discussing at cross purposes.
I would request of you all that you please remember in your own way those who
did what they so that you can do what you do.
Without my forebears standing with yours, there would be no UK to have passports. I feel great sorrow that anyone would begrudge them their service
to crown and country.
Please allow me to bow out of this, as I have no wish to be tempted to make this as personal as it seems to have become.

Here is a link to the first post which clearly says members. And you will find many examples all over the web with the help of Google.

OK, I think this has gone on quite long enough. Some very valid points have been made from several different points of view. Further discussion will probably result in nothing but ill.
