    Not Quite MacLeod of Lewis

I have my USA Kilts semi-trad in MacLeod of Lewis up for sale.

Chukta pointed out that the fabric sold by Marton Mills as MacLeod of Lewis isn't actually that tartan since the black squares are unequal.

I know that its not accurate - just close - but wondering why Marton Mills doesn't just make the squares equal so the name is accurate.

    Anyone have a clue? Curious.

    Thanks

They also leave out an entire blue/black section on their PV Gordon tartan as well...

I can't say but for the Gordon one it makes it less complex when warping.

I've commented to them on it a few times over the past year or two (and a couple other minor and sometimes MAJOR anomolies) and they've indicated they'd fix some of them on the next run of cloth. We'll see.
