    Ah finally...

Day after Thanksgiving, the Christmas shopping is almost done... and I have finally gotten to watch A Christmas Story after an 11 month wait! Life is good... Hope you all had as nice a Thanksgiving as I did.

Haven't been able to see Ralphy this year--yet!--but it's coming.

BTW, along with a kilt (just to keep this kilt-related), I got my granddaughter and grandson Red Rider BB guns for Xmas the last two years respectively. Their dads have been charged with teaching good gun handling skills.

They are 3 1/2 and 2 1/2, but I believe in starting early.

What! No pink bunny rabbit pajamas! Ah, shucks.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

    Oh, how sweet.

Don't wear them with a kilt.

Actually, I do have slippers that look like brown rabbits for around the house in the winter. They're nice.

Look for a grown-up Ralph in the movie Elf.

My old library director grew up on the same street as the late Jean Shepherd. She even remembers the Bumpuses Dogs.

Will you be my kids' grandpa?

My husband and I gave our daughter a Chipmunk .22 for her 2nd birthday. My parents are less than thrilled

When I was a little kid, I shot the neighbor in the rump with a bb gun. Does that count?

He was on a latter painting his house, and I was trying to hit a can on a post. He said, "hey! Take it easy."

Now, if I only had a bow and arrow at the time...

The funny part is, a couple of years ago, I was working in my back yard, and a little kid was throwing pebbles over the wall.

One of them hit me, and without thinking, I said, "hay! Take it easy."

It was a very unnerving experience...
