Kilt Hose from Santa ?
Ok so if you were going to put a few pair of kilt hose on your list for Santa to get you, where would you request they come from? Don't be shy in telling me. I'm not looking for low price hose either. These should be top quality hose because it's only going to be a few pair. I have an 8yd hand stitched 11oz. worsted wool kilt in the makings by Alexis Malcolm in Florida & need some proper kilt hose to accompany it after it arrives in late February to early March. Remember, price doesn't matter, it's Santa's money not mine

Well, if Santa's buying then:

I don't own any yet, but others do and rave about them. I think the 8 ply is preferable.

bought a pair of these, from the Wizard, based upon this review:

and they are GREAT!! Was recently out in -17 (with the wind chill), and rolled up the tops, to cover my knees, which kept that part of me warm (tho the wind was blowing through my kilt aprons, causing a wee bit of shrinkage - brrrr!)

Personally, I love these:

They fit like custom made hose, and keep my legs nice and warm- and the look spectacular! Personally, I was never a bog fan of hose with fancy cuffs knitted onto them. Give me cuffless hose and cuffs from Big Mikey or Flamingo Kilts! That way, I can move the cuffs from pair o' hose to pair o' hose. They're so versatile! So if it were me asking Santa, I'd ask for 3 pair of basic hose and a pair of hose toppers to go with them!!

If price is not an issue, I'd go with some custom hose, made exactly to my measurements and in a color scheme exactly to my specifications (such as custom Argyle or diced hose). None of this 'buying off the shelf' business if price is no concern!

I'd commission me to make myself a pair of hose.
However, if you want them this year, go with the hose form the Tartans Museum, as Nighthawk linked to earlier.

The Hawick hose that Matt and Chris sell are a close second.
All that being said, if you don't have a pair or Diced or Argyll hose to wear with evening dress get those first.
