It's still there, I haven't had time to shave yet. My facial hair is pretty active. I can go for a few months without shaving or a just a week. I alternate whatever look I want. But I usually shave everything off weekly. (the whole head...)
I once had the billygoat pinch long enough to tickle my belly button with. It took about a year to grow it. And yes, it was quite a pain in the butt to handle. Getting dressed, food, wind, winter, rain, encounters with idiots...
