Awesome tartan, and great choice of mill! All of my kilts are of the Lochcarron Strome heavyweight variety. I agree with Jock and would pleat this particular tartan to the sett. Have you visited the official Macdonald of Keppoch website? Quite interesting...especially the current Chief's son's names in Gaelic (to include the Chief's as well) - very neat!
Cheers Terry and well done mate!!!

Thanks mate!
The kilt is finished and on its way (hence the jones ramping up to high levels! ). We decided (this time) to pleat to the line in the red field for the brighter look. Maybe the next one?
My other kilt was also Lochcarron Strome heavyweight, I love their tartan! I must confess though, I am quite taken by HOE's muted Macdonald of Glencoe, and wouldn't mind a kilt in that tartan.
Thanks for pointing out the official website. Yes, I know it well. I have corresponded many times with our chief, Mac Mhic Raonuill. He's a very accessible & friendly individual. I look forward to one day meeting him.
Thanks again Kyle, my best to you & your lovely wife!
