Man, 30 years ago.....I know in my lifetime (52 years) alot of wonderful ,important and terrible things have happened. But I remember my Mom telling me she will NEVER forget where she was and what she was doing when Pearl Harbor got bombed......that is what it is like for me the night John Lennon died.
I always light a candle to remember him by and think of Peace

I was at the Radio Station that night and the teletype bell just kept ringing and ringing. We made the announcement of his death and then played nothing but Lennon and Beatles records all night long.
    Sad day.

A few years ago, I was warming up bagpipes for a wedding in Central Park. The "Mayor of Strawberry Fields" heard me and asked that I play at the site of the Lennon memorial. Apologies to John, I played Paul's 'Mull of Kintyre'
