Wow, thanks for all the welcomes. I have asked Santa for Barbara's book on kilt making and hopefully I've been good enough to get that for Christmas. I love to weave and I find tartans to be the most interesting to weave. Tartans are so much more that just a “plaid”... I have woven a few tartans (blankets/ scarves), but never to make anything as interesting as a kilt. I am expecting this to be a great journey. I will greatly appreciate input, suggestions, or other hints that anyone might have along this journey.
