The talk about making whistles got me thinking about all the different instruments we can make at home. So I thought I would share some of mine.
Digeridoo
This one is from a snake gourd I grew in the back yard

PVC - I keep this one in my office and play it whenever the mood strikes.

Tongue drum

NA Drum and Rattle Deer Hide

Small lap drum goat and hemlock

Large drum cedar and goat

Bodhran black bear

Gourd, and bottle caps (also some bones for rythym) The antler one also has a whistle at the handle end.

That's an awesome collection there. I liked the deer toe rattle. actually, I was impressed with all of them. But the deer toe rattle has a special meaning to me. Are the cigar box guitars actually playable? Did you create them and what's used as a reinforcer to keep the box from collapsing when the strings are tuned?
