While pursuing one of my hobby interests, I long ago acquired the nickname of Wizard, mainly for serving as the one-eyed man within the kingdom. Somebody once gave me a homemade mini-wizard statue, and that led to starting a fair collection of other hand-crafted wizards and spirits. I have a minor assortment of the wee critters in wood, worked glass, fabric, needlepoint, plus C'mas tree ornaments and hand-made candles.

The key was the hand-crafting, often made while I watched at craft shows etc. and guaranteed to be one of a kind.

My efforts rather died off after many folks starting giving me the mass-produced pewter-with-glass orb, (Dungeon&Dragons) type. I still keep a casual eye out for special examples at events, though.

I have a varied collection of what my family refers to as "beer junk", breweriana advertising items, mugs, steins, ashtrays, serving trays, etc. I also at one time had a decent movie collection, both DVD and VHS number ing about 900.

I started collecting movie scores (instrumentals) my senior year of high school. The most recent addition was the score to the new Tron movie (not bad for electronica mixed with symphony). I have around 200 scores, most of them are in storage though.

    Thumbs up

I collect walking sticks--never can have enough of those things--and interesting military cap badges. I have all the Scottish regiments of the 20th century--and a few previous--and several from other countries including Germany, Yugoslavia, and Denmark. If I find one I like, I try to obtain it.

All I do is just handle them and look at them and admire them. But I like 'em.

BTW, I like my cromach the best, and I like the 93rd Regiment of Foot badge the best.
