    I've been there with an acoustic guitar none-the-less. The sound board got taken over by the other instruments and hardly resonated my own strings.

    Ron, I feel ya'! I really get a lot of pride and enjoyment out of wearing my state tartan!

    Just to be clear, The Bluebonnet Tartan was conceived and designed by June McRoberts in the mid 80s, and it was adopted as the official Texas State tartan in 1989. Before her death in 1999, Ms. McRoberts commissioned the lady in my photos, Sia Beaton, to represent the Bluebonnet Tartan and presented her with the skirt in the photo, the first ladies kilt ever made in that tartan.
