We did that a lot too.

And I was a very keen baby wearer until he grew too big for the slings. Now he rides on my shoulders much of the time.

I just found a pair of boys Mexican gaucho pants of some sort at the Goodwill. They have silver double buttons down the sides of each leg, for a total of 28 sets of buttons! They have horses and horseshoes connected by silver chains. Very ornate and the cost was just $6.99 for all those buttons! Not sure yet if they will go on the Prince Charlie jacket, but thanks again for freeing my creative spirit to think outside of the box.
