I would be interested in hearing reviews and seeing pics of the kilt when you get a chance.

It looks to be the same supplier that Frugal Corner has.

Maybe some of the stuff comes from a supplier we use, but the web kilt pictures show the cheap stamped buckles which we do not carry anymore.
Of course they may be using old kilt pictures, who knows. But from the kilt picture they are using on the web - I know exactly where they are getting their kilts from, and it is not from our supplier.

On speaking with Jerry from Stillwater a year or two back, it was my understanding that many of the Pakistani suppliers (retailers) shopped around with other Salkot Pakistan cut and sew operations, depending on the price they could get for making any particular order on a particular week. I was told that there are roughly 12 cut and sew operations there and that they're all actually related (big family structure is part of the culture... brothers, cousins and 2nd cousins and intermarrying etc). He told me how many of the companies hate each other and steal each others pictures and clients and whatnot (and stealing pictures has been a problem with Scottish companies products as well). Jerry went into the details of his supplier and the problems he's had with his cousins from a competing company. As Jerry has been dealing with Pakistani kilt suppliers for years, I took him at his word.

UT Kilts' selection of tartans overlapped with FC's (save the custom weaves) and the kilt pins in multi colors was unique to yours as well. That's why I thought there was a strong possibility that there was overlap in suppliers.

I have the identical black "Utility Kilt" which I purchased from a retailer in England.
Nice range of entry level kilts.
Wear the Black Watch and the Utility kilt proudly, looking forward to seeing your reviews and photos.
I agree. I will be getting photos up tomorrow! Work has kept me busy lately...

I apologize, but I do not know who that is.

I would guess there are about 25-50 cut and sew operations over there OR same companies operating under different names.
There are only three (maybe four) of them that produce a product that is acceptable quality. We have been dealing with with the companies over there since about 2004 - while I have not been there I have had sit down meetings in the states with a couple of them.
We got burnt twice - once we waited over 12 months to get items we ordered, second time we never received the items.
The company I mostly deal with now, the son was educated in England, so it makes it very easy to get a point across.
