Personally, I think the boots and tee shirt look is fine for very informal wear.

As for the tee shirt, I think it looks better tucked in because it shows off your belt!

Nothing wrong with any of that. That's pretty much how I do it every day.

Here's an old pic, but it's already in photobucket so it's handy.

And yes...I do wear a Navy ballcap with my kilt.

Lately I've been wearing Bates cold-weather boots. My neighbors think I'm nuts to wear a kilt in the snow. I don't think they understand how much heat a kilt will retain.

Don't be so hard on yourself...so you have a bit of a gut. So do a lot of us. Most efforts(such as loose and untucked shirts) to camouflage it actually accentuate it. Just be a Gentleman of Substance and don't worry about it.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

im not taking offence to any of this lol if i were easy to offend i wouldnt have asked the question.
i do prefer the shirt tucked in BUT untill i can lose some weight and not have so much a gut, also the problem is its a thrifty kilt from stillwater kilts so its not exactly form fitted.
what i need to do is order the brass colored buckle so its not so shiny lol.

    Thumbs up Kick A$$!!!

Hells Yeah, Brother Swampy! With the tats and mohawk you pull it off, no worries.

I like the untucked shirt better (no need for belt) cause the belt to me doesn't fit the occasion, and you certainly don't need the belt unless your kilt doesn't fit right to begin with (and then it probably still won't fit right). At any rate, your age and lifestyle calls for wearing the kilt super casual!

If you were gonna wear kilt hose then, yeah, I'd tuck the shirt and maybe wear the belt. Definitely lose the kitty tower, though, man. Way too formal for your kit! :P

    Anyway... KILT ON!

addendum- here's me with an anal retentive "untuck." Well... it's meant to look that way anyway. Not shown are my flip flops for Summer-wear.
Here's tae us, Whas like us... Deil the Yin!
