Schooligans january kilt night

Greetings SCHooligans and all others!

Our January kilt night has been postponed a week due to the Burns Supper on 1/15. Our new night is this coming Saturday, 1/22, and it will be held at:

McGowan's Irish Inn

It's a nice little Irish pub located on Highway 111 just West of San Pablo. The owners are very friendly, and the bartender went wild when she saw us in our kilts last time. She begged us to have a kilt night there, so, because Dickie O'Neals is out of commission due to a flood, we'll go to McGowan's.

We don't need an RSVP, as this will be a stand at the bar and show off your kilt evening. Bar food is available, and they have proper ales as well.

Looking forward to seeing all of you next Saturday at 6:00p!

I'm piping at a Burns event on the 22nd in Cherry Valley, otherwise I would love to join you guys.

How late do your kilt nights usually go?

I have to be there at 5:30 but I don't know when I'll be finished. As the piper I'm sort of "on call" during the whole evening, I should think.

For those of you who missed the Burns Supper on January 15th........you missed the best supper to date. It was organized by the Palm Springs Pipe Band and also there to entertain us were the Nicholson Pipes and Drums from Westminster and the best part of the evening was having the US Marine band from Twentynine Palms perform with the pipe bands. Here is a short video of the grand opening.

Great video! Loved the Gunny Leading them in. (I wonder why)
I'm sure a great time was had by all. Did the Marines get to stay? I've taken details to similar events, and my Marines always had a great time.

The marines had a great time, they were there until around 11pm then they had to go back to the base. They will definately be back again next year.......absolutely fantastic.
