What I did this past weekend

I rabble, It has been a while since I posted any pics here but this last weekend I had ample opportunity to snap a few and share them with you.

On Saturday evening our local Robbie Burns Dinner was held. Now, you have to understand that in Victoria there are at least 50 dinners to choose from. Bobbie and I have, for the past five years always attended the dinner held to support the Victoria Police Pipe Band.

This year with so many dinners to choose from the attendance at this one was down to just under 500.

Many of you have a piper at your dinners to provide a little music. At this dinner we get to hear from the entire band.

Perhaps you may recognize two X Markers in the band.

Piperdown on the left and his brother MacMan on the right.

    This is our table.
L to R Holy Hector, Mrs Holy Hector, (Both in the Clergy Tartan), Kilted Knome (Victoria City of Gardens Tartan), Bruce & Cindy Allison (in HBC and Alison Tartans), KiltedWolfMan and Mrs. (in Black Watch Tartan)

(note the FK Pink Death Mini Kilt at the next table)

I was told by the caterer that they prepare a ton and a half of haggis for Victoria each year. I don't think we went through more than 350 lbs.

After the dinner we posed for this group shot.
L to R KiltedWolfMan Mrs Wolfman (Black Watch), Bruce and Cindy Alison, The Reverends Mr, and Mrs. Holy Hector (Clergy),
KiltedKnome and myself (Victoria, City of Gardens)

    .

    And then there was Sunday.

I was approached, to provide from my rental fleet, formal outfits for the fashion show at our spring Wedding Fair.

    (notice anyone you recognize?)

Yea, I got roped into walking the runway.

I'm in my Tewksbury Kilt in Highland Granite Tartan.

Sunday the weather was drizzly so what better time to show off my new Inverness cape made by our own Victoria MacKenzie (vmac3205)

Note that the cape can be buttoned down or up on the shoulder.

    Here is the back.

A wonderful Inverness with 3 pockets. Thank you Victoria.

I love the measuring tape tie. A very unique fashion accessory.

That said, looks like all had a great time. Your kilts look great!

Is there no end to your talents? A catwalk model now as well! I suppose it is good to have something to fall back on, if that kiltmaking stuff doesn't work out.

1 1/2 tons of haggis - metric or imperial?

Seriously though, it looks like you all had a great time.

    Regards

    Chas

    Fabulous photos Steve.
Looks like a magnificent weekend in Victoria.
Its wonderful that there are so many Burns Suppers in Victoria and that they are so well attended.
I wish I could have joined you.
Ah well, God willing, I shall back in Victoria in March.
