Does anyone know where I can get blank blades around Edinburgh? I have found some of different websites, but Id prefer to pick them up somewhere locally. I had a look around the usual tartan shops on the royal mile and princes street, but they only really had the cheap touristy sgian dubhs, and no blank blades.
I'll probably be working a daey or two in Glasgow over the next few weeks, so I'd be able to get them from there too, if anyone knows where?

I bought my blade from
http://www.atlantacutlery.com/p-953-...bon-steel.aspx
they also have a Damascus one. I used a sledge hammer handle that had finaly snapped after 30 years of use. solid hickory, and the tang is threaded, I used a bolt epoxied on for the pommel and ground it to a nice shape. still working on it, I'll put up more pic when I finish it. It fits my hand and doesn't weigh a thing.
