IME there will be not only haggis, but bridies as well, and possibly welshcakes. Probably no Irish food, but definitely Irish beer, which is the right way around IMHO, if you are only to have one and not the other.
This is one of the regular events that I attend, and I certainly intend to be there this year as well.
I intend to wear my new J Byous green summer weight caubeen this year, probably with my new New World Irish kilt assuming the latter arrives on time, and almost certainly will be wearing a black sporran with green piping, for sake of identification. I am bearded and long haired, for more identifying features.
Number one son will probably come with me, as he usually does. I don't think he'd want to miss the food! He's a teenager and is now slightly taller (not to mention a lot slimmer) than I am, and will probably be wearing a flat cap, but doesn't wear a kilt (heaven forbid he should wear both together, LOL!). He also has long hair, but doesn't have a beard.
ETA: They should have Irn Bru as well! (popular Scottish soda)

Sounds great! We're looking forward to it I'm quite sure I'll be in one of my Wallace kilts probably helping out a bit w/the Clan Wallace Society group. I'll be sure to bump this up when it gets closer to the event date as a friendly reminder I hope to get the opportunity to have a pint or few w/some fellow x-marker's

I've attended for years with my daughters, but this will be my first year kilted. Unfortunately, we'll need to leave the festival early to get to Norfolk for the VA International Tattoo.
