Glasgow - Back to my Home City

I was born and brought up in Paisley, a town which is seven miles west of Glasgow city centre and part of the greater Glasgow conurbation. My university studies, some of my working years and much of my social life, were all conducted in the city of Glasgow.

I worked for several years in a law practice on the first floor of this building on the corner of St. Vincent Street and Renfield Street

The Tardis in Wilson Street, in the Merchant City area, not to be confused with the more famous one on Buchanan Street which is now a coffee bar.

Hayat treated me to lunch in Jamie's Italian, which is a Jamie Oliver restaurant in George Square

Thanks Alex: I have made the trip Newcastle-Glasgow-Stranraer-Larne-Belfast several times and have always enjoyed my layovers in the pubs of Glasgow. It's been a few years since I have been to Glasgow now so I enjoyed the tour.

Is Lloyd's bar still on George st. Just up from George sq.? Should be right catty corner to the old post office..
Loved that bar...having a name like Lloyd George, they wouldn't let me pay for my pints..

Great pics, Alex. I've never spent much time in Glasgow for my 2 times in Scotland, except in 2008. On our way to Taynuilt from Edinburgh, my niece and I had time between trains to eat lunch near the station, and I believe it was at Jamie's. We also walked around George's Square for a bit of exercise. Very nice it was.
