Glad to hear the surgury went ok, have had a couple friends go through shoulder surgery the last couple of years and they were back playing golf within 6 mos. Physical therapy helped a ton.

Speedy recovery. With your description, I'd expect 100% recovery.
Since pain meds were mentioned, I'll say only you can make that call,
    but you'll heal faster w/o.

Glad to know the surgery was successful, Bob. Now just don’t overdo things.

I have had the left shoulder "fixed" once and the right one has gone under the knife twice....thats what happens when you are a jock when younger and try to relive your youth much later. In a few weeks I am getting a shoulder replacement and we can commiserate together.

    All the best

Very glad to hear that you are doing well.

While on active duty I completely separated the right shoulder during boat repairs. The military surgeon gave me the 50-50-99 story and heartily recommended PT. There is a tear, the joint is slightly weak and even though the skill base has improved, I'm just a big chicken when it comes to the knife.

Yikes. That makes my procedure seem minor, indeed. Best wishes for your surgery and a speedy recovery.

I second the other's advise. Do the rehab religiously. It is amazing how much strength you can lose in a short period of time. Had a rotator cuff repair a year ago and I am finally getting my normal strength back. (Doc said I was there 6 months after the surgery, but he didn't know how much I could lift before the injury)
