Matt,
Did you have any issues getting permission from Dr. Smith? I had thought about weaving that tartan for myself (being a proud northerner and great-something grandson of an Union Infantryman).

There is at least one Sons of Union Veterans camp in Massachusetts that is selling ties in the Federal Memorial tartan, so I would assume that Dr. Smith gave the organization permission to sell said items.
