    Leather Jackets with Leather Kilts

I love leather kilts! I find that in foul weather leather jackets go well with leather kilts.

    Anyone else?

This is a jean cut leather jacket from J. Peterman with my RKilts green leather.

This is an A2 style leather jacket from Eddie Bauer with my RKilts saffron leather.

Same jacket with my Utilikilts brown leather.

I have two other leather jackets I wear with leather kilts - just no pics.

Thank you for the inspiration. Good use of two tones together for the jacket verses the kilt. My time on a motorcycle taught me how well leather breaks the wind. Your previous posts have shown how well they behave in the wind. The photo in the snow is especially good to see.

I have a leather jacket that gets a lot of wear, in all types of weather, and still looks pretty new. Actually, it looks too new for my tastes. After nearly three years it's finally starting to show a little wear(very little) and in another year or two might have that "lived in" look and feel I like. That's why I've worn them for the last 15 years...they last, they work in most conditions, they'll take an ungodly beating, look better with a bit of wear and tear, and unless they get really filthy they smell good!

I can't say anything about leather kilts though. Never owned one, and at present I have no plans to. I can see how they would be good in chilly and drizzly weather though. I'm sure they last forever. Maybe someday I'll try one.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

Interesting concept...but I prefer an over-abundance of sheeps wool.

At the risk of getting burned, I think it is possible to wear too much leather. Sorry if that comes across as offensive, it isnt meant to be..... I just cant help think of head to foot denim and the stigma that that carries here in the UK. Leather and cloth mix just fine in my opinion.
Your choice of course, wear it in good health.

Everyone's choice is their own, but I agree with you Tim. Too much leather has an S&M appearance.

In the interest of eradicating my ignorance...what stigma is associated with all denim in the UK? Thanks.

now obviously cultures vary as do their tastes but rarely seen in the UK is anyone matching denim jacket with jeans.. its just denim overload and people tend to avoid doing it.

    Nothing more than that really

Just thought I might be missing some subtle, secret message by wearing all denim...lol...it pays to know is you are sending a 'message' especially an unintended one.

No nothing more sinister than that.
