    Kilted at Disney!

Tomorrow morning I'm heading off to Disney for a week, combination "Spring Break" and my birthday celebration. We used to go for my son's birthday, but alas he was born in the midst of Hurricane season and that's not the time for us to go to any expensive attraction in Florida.

Lunch will be at Epcot in the Rose and Crown. I expect to do some shopping at Sportsman's Shoppe and hopefully find a tartan tie to wear on Tartan day (if they do, in fact, still sell tartan goods there).

So the D folks will allow men in kilts on their premises? Formerly they had the reputation of banning men with beards and applying a ruler to some moustaches to see if they met company policy.

They have cast members in kilts at epcot and in the Canadian area of Epcot, the band "Off Kilter" performs in kilts.

CDNSushi posted his "kilted at Disney" birthday pics. I trust you'll do the same?

They let me in to Disneyland (California) kilted last October. Here's the proof:

I was quite surprised to find that you can buy demon rum (well, alcohol of some sort) at restaurants in Disneyland's California Adventure, Anaheim. Growing up in SoCal, I knew that the only place alcohol was allowed inside the D'land gates was in a very private club for the likes of founding investors. (You could, of course, take the Monorail to the D'land Hotel's pricey bar and then ride back!) Not sure if D'land proper has any liquor service these days but they have changed with the times, to a certain extent.

What? I can only imagine that could have been a grooming regulation for their employees...no way could they enforce that upon the customer...If so, I have never heard of such a thing.

Anyway, to the OP, enjoy your trip and especially your birthday!!!
