We will be goin away with our touring caravan soon and I will just substitute kilt+black leather day sporran instead of shorts. No one cares what you wear on a camp site. So that will be baseball cap, polo shirt and trainers or boots during the day. If we go out for dinner then it will be more formal. Kilt+semi-dress sporran, Black brogues (not gillie, hate them), full hose+flashes and my lovat blue tweed kilt jacket with tie and If I had a fedora I would wear it if that was my style.
Time and place is important as well as your personal style. We don't all want to look like the model style put out by the retailers.
