Graham of Montrose 4 yard box pleat

For those with affection for the name Graham in all its forms I have tried to post photos of my Keltoi 4 yard box pleated Graham of Montrose (modern) 16 oz Lochcarron Strome cloth.

I wear this kilt a lot, and I am very happy with the build quality, comfort and the fit. I encourage those who may be considering a handmade kilt to take the plunge. I'd be surprised if you regret the decision and it's likely you will be rewarded each time you wear it. And the great thing it never dates! For those who think people look down on 4 yard box pleats my experience is that people just see a kilt & only those in the kilt world spot the difference in construction and that is after they have admired the tartan.

It looks great. I would have to image that only the hardest of traditionalists (who aren't really up on their history) would think less of the box-pleat. It looks like a really good kilt that fits you well. Kilt on!

I think it's a nice looking kilt--no matter how it's pleated! Again, great looking kilt and thanks for posting pictures.

    Very nice !

As I've learned more about them, I'm liking box pleats more than knife edge. What I like about them is that no matter what angle they are viewed from the back, the edges, and shadow lines they make, contrast to show off the pleats while still seeming to lay flat, not edge up to one side like knife pleats.

My next kilt (MacKay blue/Morgan) is definitly going to be a box pleat !!!!!!
