I'm actually half way done with another leather version of this. After cutting out the pieces, gluing, punching holes for the lacing, punching stitching holes, and then hand stitching the first one i can see why they fetch such a pretty penny.
Here's the first one i made.
I'm already mulling over a slight addition to the canvas flap to make it heavier and prevent fraying and it shouldn't add more than a couple minutes to the sewing time.

I've done several canvas sporrans of similar style...but not in half an hour!! I don't know if that qualifies for Guiness, but you definitely earned a Guiness!int: It looks pretty darn good too. I think it will look awesome after getting a bit of dye treatment.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.
