Wow, that is super duper fast! Do you think you could do the same thing with a supple leather?

I'm actually in the process of making my 2nd out of supple elk for the body and a heavier cow leather for the flap/back reinforcement and the front reinforcement pieces. If I wasnt gettin ready to leave thursday for rendezvous I could whip it out in probably 3-4 hours depending on how many breaks i take to rest my fingers. At some point there should be a pic of the 1st one in these threads or ya can look at my photo album to see the 1st leather sporran i made.

Thanks Whidbey, Hopefully I'll have it dyed by thursday so I can take it to the woods with me.

Well I now have a new reason to make a couple more canvas sporrans. My 11yr old daughter took this one to use as a belt pouch at rendezvous since she doesnt have any pouches other than her haversack. I tried to give her an old pouch I made for hiding my camera but she decided the new one would look nicer on her belt. I dont even get to finish dying it, . Oh well. Since we got alot of our packing done tonight i'll try to whip out a couple tomarrow evening.

I made a denim one a while ago, it took me more than half an hour though, I was putting pleats in it and had to make sure they came out even. The engineer in me had to pull out a ruler for that, haha
